Welcome to my website. You’re going to find this one very interesting – I hope. What’s in a name? A lot – I’m a believer in picking the right name, and that is why I chose Yellowtail Snapper Publishing for the name of my business. I love the sea, guess that’s why I am close to publishing my second historical novel about another ship, and the Yellowtail Snapper, a beautiful fish is found in the Gulf of Mexico. What about writing? Jump over to the “About page” for an answer but before you do, let me explain how I started. I wrote the better part of my business life but that was different from my writing today. I jump-started the writing process much differently when I entered retirement. Actually, I’ve been going full bore since then and haven’t stopped. Well, sort of, there are life’s opportunities (notice I didn’t say interruptions to writing) that intervene and change one’s schedule, and they come often and are altered by the seasons. Spring brings yard clean up, getting the pool ready, and golf. Summer brings grandkids, a bunch of them, in the pool, and cutting grass, riding motorcycle, going to the beach, playing golf, and more golf. Did I miss anything? Autumn brings cooler temps, changing leaves, riding bike, oh yeah – hiking, and sure, more golf. In winter things slow down and it’s a great time to dive into research and writing. But then to be successful and meet your goals, you really have to dedicate yourself to this year round. And when you’re passionate about completing a new historical novel – well, you just have to do it. I’ve got more to say – most writers do – but look, I’ll pick up where I left off on my “About” page.
